With a little luck, FC LusoTeam's Romão Azeredo got control of the ball when Pedro Freitas tried to sneak it across the goal line. FC LusoTeam's Matias Júdice got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Paulo Amaro fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nespereira's protests and gave Paulo Amaro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 7th minute, Paulo Amaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Nespereira fans' excitement grew in the 11th match minute when Nespereira's António Brás looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A hard shot 15 in the game by Pedro Freitas from a close distance when the talented Romão Azeredo managed to make a qualified save. FC LusoTeam's players were relieved. Silvério Corte-Real hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in FC LusoTeam's zone, Pedro Freitas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Romão Azeredo came out of the goal and Pedro Freitas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pedro Freitas's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Romão Azeredo firmly grabbed it by the left post. After a rather tough play, FC LusoTeam's Silvério Corte-Real got a free kick in the 20th minute. Nespereira were awarded a corner in the 23th minute after FC LusoTeam's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sérgio Nascimento took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Miguel Moniz heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Romão Azeredo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from António Brás, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Romão Azeredo made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Pedro Freitas sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Afonso Salgado during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Augusto Sacramento blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joaquim Pinho having to make a save. António Brás received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Romão Azeredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when António Brás made the kick off in the second half. Daniel Zambujal kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. When António Brás fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nespereira's protests and gave António Brás a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Nespereira getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. António Brás hit a great ball. Augusto Sacramento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 66th minute, Matias Júdice got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 69 minutes into the match, Nespereira's goal looked a bit too open when Matias Júdice came free, but Joaquim Pinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joaquim Pinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matias Júdice in the 70th minute of play. When Nespereira's Pedro Freitas in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
