Rogério Assunção struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Rui Simões didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Porto.PT. Jacinto Magalhães could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Rui Simões made a huge save. Henrique Paiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Carneiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Serro FC's zone, Rogério Assunção stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rui Simões came out of the goal and Rogério Assunção tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jacinto Magalhães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 37th minute, 庄冰国 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rogério Assunção received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Rui Simões tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jacinto Magalhães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rui Simões showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rogério Assunção in the 44th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Francisco Carneiro made a kick off. The supporters of Serro FC booed when Porto.PT was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Januário Toscano didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 57 played minutes Serro FC got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Quaresma. After 61 played minutes Porto.PT got a freekick which was hit by Eusébio Tavares. Jacinto Magalhães received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Rui Simões tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 73rd minute, Rogério Assunção left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Porto.PT fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 78th minute, Serro FC's Francisco Carneiro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Henrique Paiva. Henrique Paiva yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Fabrício Gouveia came free with the goalkeeper in the 82nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Henrique Paiva could save by the left post. Jacinto Magalhães received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Serro FC's Rui Simões played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacinto Magalhães in the 94th minute of play. In the 95th minute, Rogério Assunção got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee ended the match the Porto.PT players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
