Silvestre Quintanilha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laércio Rangel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st minute, Laércio Rangel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laércio Rangel in the 46th minute of play forced Gala's goalkeeper Silvestre Quintanilha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Telmo Prestes struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Aldo Osório didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gala. 56 minutes into the game, Telmo Prestes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Aldo Osório. Telmo Prestes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. SC Tola's Aldo Osório proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save SC Tola from getting a goal against them. Roberto Vilas Boas's late challenge caught a SC Tola's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roberto Vilas Boas helped the player get up and apologised. In the 62nd match minute, Gala was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto Vilas Boas to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Mário Santana's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Silvestre Quintanilha was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. In the 65thth minute of the game Laércio Rangel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gala's Silvestre Quintanilha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 67th minute Telmo Prestes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aldo Osório saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aldo Osório showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roberto Vilas Boas in the 78th minute of the match. If Mário Santana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Telmo Prestes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Catarino Carmona's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 94thth minute, Aldo Osório skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
