In the 3rd minute, one of SC Peredo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SC Peredo. When the match had been going on for 5 minutes, Apartadura FC's Óscar Trindade got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Gustavo Calheiros. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebastião Santos got free with Gustavo Calheiros in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Sebastião Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Apartadura FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebastião Santos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gustavo Calheiros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jorge Domingues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo Calheiros having to interfere. When Apartadura FC's Jorge Domingues in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Peredo's goalie prevented a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebastião Santos got free with Gustavo Calheiros in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jorge Domingues's late challenge caught a SC Peredo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jorge Domingues helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Apartadura FC's Jorge Domingues got a free kick in the 30th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Raul Mendes in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Afonso Neves prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Afonso Neves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Raul Mendes's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Jarbas Tinoco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso Neves having to interfere. A collision led to SC Peredo getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Daniel Domingues hit a great ball. After 39 played minutes, Apartadura FC's Óscar Trindade shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gustavo Calheiros came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Apartadura FC reached it. SC Peredo's Gustavo Calheiros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save SC Peredo from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in SC Peredo's zone, Jorge Domingues stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gustavo Calheiros came out of the goal and Jorge Domingues tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Afonso Neves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jarbas Tinoco, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 63rd minute Jarbas Tinoco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Neves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Juliano Ferro fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Peredo's protests and gave Juliano Ferro a yellow card for diving instead. After 68 played minutes SC Peredo got a freekick which was hit by Belchior Paiva. The audience was convinced that Sebastião Santos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gustavo Calheiros was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. Afonso Neves made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Raul Mendes sent off a good shot on target. In the 79th minute, Jarbas Tinoco reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Afonso Neves. The goal made the score 2-1. Sebastião Santos struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Gustavo Calheiros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Apartadura FC. Afonso Neves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jarbas Tinoco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Apartadura FC's Óscar Abreu got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 91st match minute, SC Peredo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samuel Marques to maneuver through the defense. Sebastião Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Gustavo Calheiros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 95 played minutes SC Peredo got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Domingues. Apartadura FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of SC Peredo for a fine match.
