André Freitas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cliff Kempson in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Renato Adán saved FC IDANHENSE from getting behind. After 14 minutes of play, FC IDANHENSE's Luca Iordache made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vasco Gaspar was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of FC IDANHENSE booed when FBI City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basílio Coimbra didn't get a good kick on the ball. 24 minutes into the match, FC IDANHENSE's goal looked a bit too open when Cliff Kempson came free, but Renato Adán reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute Rafael Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renato Adán saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Basílio Coimbra charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Basílio Coimbra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to FBI City getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Basílio Coimbra hit a great ball. Vasco Gaspar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jorge Abreu in the 32nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in FBI City's zone, Luca Iordache stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vasco Gaspar came out of the goal and Luca Iordache tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 35th minute, Mário Correia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luca Iordache blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vasco Gaspar having to make a save. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

53 minutes into the game, FBI City's Luís Vieira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Renato Adán made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. FBI City's Vasco Gaspar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luca Iordache in the 58th minute of play. Sandro Assis took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vasco Gaspar. Vasco Gaspar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. In the 68th minute of the match Fernando Ramos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vasco Gaspar skillfully saved the ball. Cliff Kempson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 73rdth minute tested the skills of Renato Adán when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Luís Vieira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cliff Kempson got free with Renato Adán in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. FBI City's Vasco Gaspar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Poyraz Yalazabey in the 81st minute of play. Vasco Gaspar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sandro Assis in the 84th minute of play. Sandro Assis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vasco Gaspar having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. FC IDANHENSE fully deserved thier win.
