A collision led to SC Salgadinho getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Abel Aguiar hit a great ball. Jacinto Nunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mário Neves having to interfere. In the 6th minute, Sérgio Teixeira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mário Neves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Amaro in the 13th minute of the match. Jacinto Nunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Mário Neves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sérgio Teixeira kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Purgatorio FC's Jacinto Nunes got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Amaro in the 19th minute of play forced SC Salgadinho's goalkeeper Mário Neves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jacinto Nunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jacinto Nunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 31 minutes into the match, SC Salgadinho's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Amaro came free, but Mário Neves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cândido Mendes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Delgado in the 32nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Purgatorio FC's António Santos got a free kick in the 33rd minute. When the match clock showed 41 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Jacinto Nunes sped through SC Salgadinho's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mário Neves. Vítor Melo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mário Neves having to interfere. The SC Salgadinho players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Purgatorio FC were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lucas Delgado stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Purgatorio FC's zone, Lucas Delgado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. After 83 minutes, Sebastião Moreira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Salgadinho and the Purgatorio FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sebastião Moreira hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, SC Salgadinho's Abel Aguiar got a free kick in the 89th minute. Mário Neves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacinto Nunes in the 94th minute of the match. Purgatorio FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
