Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) After 3 minutes, Hermano Peseiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Monteiros FC and the Messejana players grew even worse after the yellow card. After having played for 6 minutes, Márcio Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Monteiros FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Márcio Fonseca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 7 minutes into the game, Diogo Miranda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Messejana's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Monteiros FC the free kick. A collision led to Messejana getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Diogo Miranda hit a great ball. In the 10th minute of the match Monteiros FC got a corner. Messejana's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gonçalo Veiga ran over to the corner to take the kick. Joaquim Pedroso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidoro Malafaia, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. After 13 played minutes Messejana got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Luz. 18 minutes had been played when some careless play by Messejana's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gonçalo Veiga was slow to take the kick. During this time Monteiros FC's players had a chance to rest. Isidoro Malafaia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquim Pedroso having to interfere. In the 38th minute, Márcio Fonseca fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Messejana's Joaquim Pedroso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Malafaia in the 42nd minute of play. Messejana's defense didn't have a chance, in the 45th minute, when Isidoro Malafaia scored to the left of an out of position Joaquim Pedroso, making the score, 1-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gil Pereira to make the kick off. Joaquim Pedroso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Isidoro Malafaia's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Gil Pereira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 62 minutes into the game, Monteiros FC's Isidoro Malafaia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joaquim Pedroso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Messejana's zone, Márcio Fonseca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquim Pedroso came out of the goal and Márcio Fonseca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 71 minutes, Isidoro Malafaia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Monteiros FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isidoro Malafaia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 76th minute there was a penalty for Monteiros FC. Gonçalo Veiga stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Joaquim Pedroso. 3-0. 83 minutes into the match, Monteiros FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gil Pereira came free, but Gaspar Alves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Diogo Miranda was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 88 minutes had been played. Diogo Miranda hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Joaquim Pedroso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isidoro Malafaia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 98 played minutes, Monteiros FC's Avelino Viegas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Joaquim Pedroso came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Monteiros FC reached it.
