SC Pousadinhas's Cristiano Souto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Delfim Lisboa in the 14th minute of play. A collision led to SC Pousadinhas getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Diamantino Salazar hit a great ball. The supporters of SC Pousadinhas booed when SC Gilde was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bento Sá didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Manuel Mendes managed to avoid a goal in the 19thth minute, when SC Pousadinhas's Tarcísio Trindade fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alex Cerqueira in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manuel Mendes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tarcísio Trindade could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Manuel Mendes made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tarcísio Trindade got free with Manuel Mendes in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tarcísio Trindade scored 1-0 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Manuel Mendes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sebastião Fonseca's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristiano Souto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. In the 34thth minute of the game Alex Cerqueira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Gilde's Manuel Mendes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tarcísio Trindade might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Manuel Mendes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tarcísio Trindade ran back to his position shaking his head. Alex Cerqueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Diamantino Salazar hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Delfim Lisboa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sebastião Fonseca stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sebastião Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tiago Boaventura kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Alex Cerqueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Manuel Mendes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manuel Mendes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tarcísio Trindade in the 67th minute of the match. Manuel Mendes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tarcísio Trindade, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Cristiano Souto was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Sebastião Fonseca showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 72 minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, SC Gilde's goal looked a bit too open when Alex Cerqueira came free, but Manuel Mendes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bento Sá couldn't finish the play. Vítor Trindade kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. In the 96th minute, António Torres left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Gilde fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
