The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alexandrino Vargas's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. Porfírio Taborda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nuno Brito in the 20th minute of the match. When Bento Machado came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the SC Pipeira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bento Machado couldn't finish the play. Bento Machado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Porfírio Taborda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nuno Brito in the 27th minute of the match. Nuno Brito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rui Paiva took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 40th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Porfírio Taborda. Pelariga's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Porfírio Taborda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bento Machado in the 44th minute of the match. The supporters of Pelariga booed when SC Pipeira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaime Anjos didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Claudemiro Vilas Boas in the 48th minute really tested Rodrigo Coimbra's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rodrigo Madureira to strike the kick off in the second half. Cândido Alves's late challenge caught a Pelariga's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cândido Alves helped the player get up and apologised. Cândido Alves hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. 79 minutes into the match, SC Pipeira's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandrino Vargas came free, but Rodrigo Coimbra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 80 minutes, Bento Machado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Pipeira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bento Machado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Filipe Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Filipe Moreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SC Pipeira's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
