António Baptista might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zacarias Patrício. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abel Gomes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Infante's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emanuel Valente to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Cristiano Estrela notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of SC Redemouro's Abel Gomes. Abel Gomes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Abel Gomes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristiano Estrela in the 66th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Cristiano Estrela managed to get in a good position for a shot. Areja's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristiano Estrela was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abel Gomes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Areja's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Emanuel Valente 72 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. In the 95th match minute, Areja was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Josué Lencastre to maneuver through the defense. The Areja supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching SC Redemouro's performance. The match ended with a win for SC Redemouro.
