Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling João Sousa in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tomás Pinto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rafael Miranda scored 0-1 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tomás Pinto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to FC Fonte getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Alexandre Macedo hit a great ball. 29 minutes into the game, Jaime Mendes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Poldras's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Fonte the free kick. Jaime Mendes kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. The attack was good, but when Rodrigo Pacheco in the 32nd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. João Sousa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomás Pinto having to interfere. In the 37th minute João Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomás Pinto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexandre Macedo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gil Monteiro having to make a save. Oliveira Mendes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 41 minutes into the match, FC Fonte's Fernando Brás sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gil Monteiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Fonte's Oliveira Mendes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gil Monteiro. That made the score 1-1 after 47 minutes of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Oliveira Mendes put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Gil Monteiro. Gonçalo Borges hit a great ball. Oliveira Mendes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Oliveira Mendes might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gil Monteiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Oliveira Mendes ran back to his position shaking his head. Oliveira Mendes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. FC Fonte's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
