The Baleia FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Asseiceira FC were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell André Faro to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Faro in the 60th minute of play forced Baleia FC's goalkeeper António Onofre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Baleia FC getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Ilídio Estrada hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Asseiceira FC's zone, Américo Festas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nuno Lisboa came out of the goal and Américo Festas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 65 minutes, Gervásio França mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Baleia FC and the Asseiceira FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gervásio França hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. António Onofre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Paredes in the 67th minute of the match. In the 76th minute, Américo Festas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, João Nogueira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Baleia FC's supporters rose to their feet, but João Nogueira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nuno Lisboa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 82 minutes into the game, Américo Festas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Nuno Lisboa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 87 minutes into the match, Asseiceira FC's goal looked a bit too open when Américo Festas came free, but Nuno Lisboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Américo Festas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Américo Festas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
