Hélder Jesus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from António Santos in the 19th minute of the match. Eusébio Marques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Albertino Lima hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. 30 minutes into the match, Sobreda FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Ramos came free, but Hélder Jesus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 35 minutes, Miguel Freitas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sobreda FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Miguel Freitas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Afonso Oliveira was extremely unlucky when he, in the 43rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Hélder Jesus didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ricardo Ramos went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eusébio Marques was the one to do the kick off. When Sobreda FC's Eusébio Marques in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The supporters of Sobreda FC booed when Peneda FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Figueiredo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Afonso Oliveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo Santos having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eusébio Marques in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gustavo Santos saved Peneda FC from getting behind. Hélder Jesus made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when António Santos sent off a good shot on target. Eusébio Marques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 90 minutes into the match, Carlos Henriques notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Peneda FC's Gustavo Santos. Gustavo Santos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 94 minutes into the game, Sobreda FC's Eusébio Marques nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gustavo Santos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. Afonso Oliveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Gustavo Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There was no doubt that Sobreda FC were the better team. Sobreda FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
