After a rather tough play, Cartim FC's Humberto Moreira got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Catarino Madruga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusébio Domingues in the 8th minute of play. Catarino Madruga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusébio Domingues in the 19th minute of the match. Eusébio Domingues struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Catarino Madruga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SG Finki. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Nuno Correia managed to get in a good position for a shot. SG Finki's supporters rose to their feet, but Nuno Correia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Catarino Madruga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Guilherme Durães kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, SG Finki's Eusébio Domingues broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. Gil Lima came out of the goal and Timóteo Carrasqueira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, SG Finki's Nuno Correia got a free kick in the 47th minute. Gil Lima made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Rodrigues in the 49th minute. After the first half SG Finki were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Timóteo Carrasqueira to make the kick off. Catarino Madruga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquim Valente in the 54th minute of play. If Eusébio Domingues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Catarino Madruga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Valente in the 59th minute of the match. In the 69th minute, Eusébio Domingues fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Catarino Madruga, passed just outside the right post. Eusébio Domingues's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 71stth minute, Catarino Madruga skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 72 minutes, Antero lago mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cartim FC and the SG Finki players grew even worse after the yellow card. SG Finki's Gil Lima played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Rodrigues in the 75th minute of play. Catarino Madruga stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eusébio Domingues's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. After 81 played minutes Cartim FC got a freekick which was hit by Gentil Bandeira. SG Finki's Eusébio Domingues got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nuno Correia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Catarino Madruga having to make a save. The supporters of SG Finki booed when Cartim FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timóteo Carrasqueira didn't get a good kick on the ball.
