SC Alfaquiques's Vítor Tavares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Rodrigues in the 4th minute of play. If Daniel Rodrigues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 7th match minute, SC Alfaquiques was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaspar Simões to maneuver through the defense. Vítor Tavares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Timóteo Carrasqueira in the 10th minute of play. After a rather tough play, SC Alfaquiques's Joaquim Simões got a free kick in the 11th minute. Vítor Tavares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Rodrigues's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. In the 14th minute, André Leite hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22nd minute Gil Barros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Catarino Madruga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 48th play minute Gaspar Simões came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Catarino Madruga. 1-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gil Barros made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laureano Bezerra in the 54th minute of play forced SC Alfaquiques's goalkeeper Vítor Tavares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gil Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gil Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Catarino Madruga having to interfere.
