Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Flávio Nogueira started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. If Basílio Ferreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Afonso Ferreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Augusto Lameirinhas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Atlânticos F.C.'s Joaquim Maia got control of the ball when Pedro Sesimbra tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, SC Manariz's Osvaldo Gomes got a free kick in the 8th minute. After 10 minutes of play, Atlânticos F.C.'s Basílio Ferreira made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Augusto Lameirinhas was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 15th minute, Bento Gueifão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 17 minutes into the game, SC Manariz's Flávio Nogueira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joaquim Maia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Basílio Ferreira struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Augusto Lameirinhas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlânticos F.C.. After 30 played minutes Atlânticos F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Afonso Ferreira. The audience was convinced that Flávio Nogueira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquim Maia was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Afonso Ferreira struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Augusto Lameirinhas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlânticos F.C.. After a defensive mix-up in SC Manariz's zone, Bento Gueifão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Augusto Lameirinhas came out of the goal and Bento Gueifão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joaquim Maia made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Pedro Sesimbra sent off a good shot on target. 46 minutes into the match, Atlânticos F.C.'s goalkeeper Joaquim Maia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Delfim Távora. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pedro Sesimbra got free with Joaquim Maia in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Basílio Ferreira to make the kick off. SC Manariz's Augusto Lameirinhas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Basílio Ferreira in the 51st minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Basílio Ferreira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Augusto Lameirinhas. That made the score 1-3 in the 53 minute of play. Honorato Madruga charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Honorato Madruga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Honorato Madruga hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Augusto Lameirinhas made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Basílio Ferreira sent off a good shot on target. Basílio Ferreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Augusto Lameirinhas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75th match minute, SC Manariz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teófilo Maltez to maneuver through the defense. Bento Gueifão didn't quite understand what happened when in the 77 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Basílio Ferreira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Augusto Lameirinhas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. Basílio Ferreira struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Augusto Lameirinhas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlânticos F.C.. Afonso Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Lameirinhas having to interfere. In the 86th minute, Basílio Ferreira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Bento Gueifão came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Atlânticos F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bento Gueifão couldn't finish the play. If Basílio Ferreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Augusto Lameirinhas was out of position in the 91 minute of play, and Basílio Ferreira capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Basílio Ferreira really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. Atlânticos F.C. played a much better game than SC Manariz and deserved their victory. The SC Manariz players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
