With a little luck, Sporting Clube de Braga's Adelino Lobo got control of the ball when Oliveira Borges tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 14 played minutes fc trofenses got a freekick which was hit by Cristiano Domingues. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Oliveira Borges in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adelino Lobo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Sporting Clube de Braga's Adelino Lobo got control of the ball when Oliveira Borges tried to sneak it across the goal line. Oliveira Borges could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Adelino Lobo made a huge save. fc trofenses's José Alves got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Oliveira Borges had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Oliveira Borges came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the fc trofenses fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oliveira Borges couldn't finish the play. After 37 played minutes Sporting Clube de Braga got a freekick which was hit by Marcelo Graça. José Pedroso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adelino Lobo having to interfere. 43 minutes into the game, one of Sporting Clube de Braga:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. José Alves shot the penalty kick right outside the post. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Oliveira Borges was the one to do the kick off. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sporting Clube de Braga's goalkeeper Adelino Lobo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Oliveira Borges in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adelino Lobo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 72 minutes into the match, Oliveira Borges notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Sporting Clube de Braga's Adelino Lobo. Adelino Lobo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sporting Clube de Braga's Adelino Lobo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oliveira Borges in the 75th minute of play. Adelino Lobo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oliveira Borges in the 77th minute of play. If Cristiano Domingues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Óscar Liberato's late challenge caught a fc trofenses's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Óscar Liberato helped the player get up and apologised. In the 91st match minute, Sporting Clube de Braga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Óscar Liberato to maneuver through the defense.
