A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 40 minutes into the match, Crespelas's goal looked a bit too open when António Pires came free, but Gaspar Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. António Pires received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Gaspar Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Crespelas's Gaspar Vale got control of the ball when Cândido Teixeira tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Pontemieiro FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Crespelas were winning 1-2.

Jaime Ferro struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Joaquim Abreu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Crespelas. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Ferro in the 54th minute of play forced Pontemieiro FC's goalkeeper Joaquim Abreu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 57 minutes into the match, Cândido Teixeira notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Crespelas's Gaspar Vale. Gaspar Vale was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 83rd minute, Emanuel Rodrigues hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Bernardo Valente in the 85th minute really tested Joaquim Abreu's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. With an all-out effort, Crespelas's Joaquim Abreu threw himself towards the right post 87 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jaime Ferro, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Jaime Ferro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Jaime Ferro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Crespelas's supporters rose to their feet, but Jaime Ferro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquim Abreu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
