Joaquim Abreu came out of the goal and Gil Reis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 25th minute, Amadeu Pinto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Pontemieiro FC's Cândido Teixeira in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. António Assis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from António Pires in the 31st minute of the match. After 37 played minutes Pontemieiro FC got a freekick which was hit by Joel Branco. Gil Reis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Amadeu Pinto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Joaquim Abreu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Gil Reis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for António Pires to strike the kick off in the second half. Cândido Teixeira's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 74thth minute, António Assis skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 83 minutes into the match, Barrancosas's goal looked a bit too open when António Pires came free, but António Assis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amadeu Pinto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Joaquim Abreu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91st minute, Gil Reis made a precise shot to the right of Joaquim Abreu. Pontemieiro FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0.
