Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Paulo Lisboa got the match started through his kick off. João Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexandre Freitas in the 4th minute of the match. Armindo Dias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Armindo Dias could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Viriato Brás made a huge save. Viriato Brás made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Lopes in the 9th minute of play. In the 11th minute Paulo Lisboa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Vale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Alexandre Freitas came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Medroa FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alexandre Freitas couldn't finish the play. Viriato Brás showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Lopes in the 34th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Medroa FC's zone, João Lopes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Viriato Brás came out of the goal and João Lopes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that João Lopes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Viriato Brás was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. Paulo Lisboa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. João Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when João Lopes made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Armindo Dias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Viriato Brás saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. João Lopes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 67th match minute, Leira FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Lisboa to maneuver through the defense. João Vale came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Medroa FC's Paulo Lisboa. But to his dismay, Paulo Lisboa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. João Vale made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alexandre Freitas in the 72nd minute. After having played for 83 minutes, Armindo Dias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leira FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armindo Dias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Miguel Paredes's late challenge caught a Leira FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Miguel Paredes helped the player get up and apologised. Medroa FC:s Viriato Brás showed great skill when he stopped Jorge Lima:s penalty. With his leg João Vale managed to avoid a goal in the 93rdth minute, when Medroa FC's Alexandre Freitas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The Medroa FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Medroa FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
