Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Repolha FC's Vasco Setúbal started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 8th match minute, Repolha FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomás Pereira to maneuver through the defense. Júlio Araújo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rui Branco having to interfere. Adolfo Branco charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adolfo Branco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 14 played minutes Repolha FC got a freekick which was hit by Adolfo Branco. If Júlio Araújo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute Júlio Araújo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rui Branco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Júlio Araújo in the 26th minute of play forced Repolha FC's goalkeeper Rui Branco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the game, Jacinto Cruz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Repolha FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Esquilas the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Repolha FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 27th minute. Penalty! Ricardo Miranda was extremely unlucky when he, in the 32nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 42ndth minute of the game Júlio Araújo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Repolha FC's Rui Branco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sandro Mota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sérgio Soares having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Júlio Araújo made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Esquilas's goal looked a bit too open when Vasco Setúbal came free, but Sérgio Soares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Esquilas's Gil Moura got a free kick in the 52nd minute. After 56 played minutes Repolha FC got a freekick which was hit by Tomás Pereira. Rui Branco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Júlio Araújo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 62nd minute Júlio Araújo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rui Branco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rui Branco made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Rui Pacheco sent off a good shot on target. In the 64th minute, Ricardo Miranda ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sérgio Soares was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Júlio Araújo in the 69th minute of play forced Repolha FC's goalkeeper Rui Branco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Esquilas's goalkeeper Sérgio Soares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 74 minutes into the game, Cláudio Ribeiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Esquilas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Repolha FC the free kick. Repolha FC's Rui Branco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Repolha FC from getting a goal against them. If Gil Moura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Júlio Araújo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rui Branco. That made the score 1-2 in the 95 minute of play. Esquilas's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
