Eduardo Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodrigo Figueiredo having to interfere. If Eduardo Ferreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eduardo Ferreira scored 0-2 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rodrigo Figueiredo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 28 minutes had been played when some careless play by Machio's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Hélder Alves was slow to take the kick. During this time Arrochela FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Arrochela FC's Hélder Alves to fire away a dangerous shot which Rodrigo Figueiredo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Joaquim Freitas kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Bernardo Pacheco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arrochela FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernardo Pacheco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodrigo Figueiredo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 32nd match minute, Machio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Júlio Bessa to maneuver through the defense. Bernardo Pacheco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Bernardo Pacheco dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 43rd minute, Arrochela FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Manuel Nunes fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Manuel Nunes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 45thth minute tested the skills of Armindo Vaz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joaquim Freitas to strike the kick off in the second half. If Eduardo Ferreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 55th minute, Manuel Nunes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joaquim Freitas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Humberto Dias's late challenge caught a Machio's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Humberto Dias helped the player get up and apologised. Humberto Dias hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Armindo Vaz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Nunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. 61 minutes into the match, Manuel Nunes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Armindo Vaz. Arrochela FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Manuel Nunes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Hélder Alves kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Armindo Vaz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Nunes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rui Gomes charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rui Gomes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 80 played minutes Arrochela FC got a freekick which was hit by Rui Gomes. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tiago Resende during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. During the 90th minute of the match Tiago Resende completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Tiago Resende a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Arrochela FC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Tiago Resende hit a great ball. Machio's Joaquim Freitas got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Nunes in the 97th minute of play forced Arrochela FC's goalkeeper Armindo Vaz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Machio supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Arrochela FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Arrochela FC.
