Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Carlos Rocha started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Medas's goalkeeper João Almeida, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlos Rocha in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck João Almeida prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 7 minutes, Pedro Trindade managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Zambujal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Trindade was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Catarino Brito fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Zambujal's protests and gave Catarino Brito a yellow card for diving instead. After 11 played minutes SC Zambujal got a freekick which was hit by Catarino Brito. Abel Pinheiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Machado in the 12th minute of play. Ricardo Machado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Pinheiro having to interfere. After having played for 16 minutes, Ricardo Machado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Medas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ricardo Machado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Pedro Trindade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd minute Carlos Rocha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. João Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Rocha in the 24th minute of the match. André Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Pinheiro having to interfere. When Catarino Brito was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 33 minutes had been played. In the 33rd minute, Catarino Brito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 34th minute, André Pinheiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ricardo Machado blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Abel Pinheiro having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Pinheiro in the 42nd minute of play forced SC Zambujal's goalkeeper Abel Pinheiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 43 minutes into the game, António Moniz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Zambujal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Medas the free kick. André Pinheiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Ricardo Machado made the kick off in the second half. After 55 played minutes SC Zambujal got a freekick which was hit by António Moniz. SC Zambujal's Abel Pinheiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save SC Zambujal from getting a goal against them. Ricardo Machado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. João Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Trindade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80th minute, Vasco Gaspar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when André Pinheiro got free with Abel Pinheiro in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. André Pinheiro struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Abel Pinheiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Medas. After 90 minutes, Sandro Brás mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Zambujal and the SC Medas players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 90 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SC Zambujal! If Ricardo Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The SC Zambujal supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching SC Medas's performance. The match ended with a win for SC Medas.
