A beautiful save bye SC Zambujal's goalie prevented a goal. Carlos Rocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Rui Reis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Américo Miranda who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 11thth minute tested the skills of Abel Pinheiro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 16th minute Pedro Trindade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rui Reis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Trindade took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rui Reis. Rui Reis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Leal in the 25th minute of play forced SC Zambujal's goalkeeper Abel Pinheiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 29 minutes, Cristiano Ribeiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Engal and the SC Zambujal players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in SC Engal fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 29th minute. Penalty! In the 30th minute there was a penalty for SC Zambujal. Pedro Brás stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Rui Reis. 0-2. In the 35th minute of the match Manuel Domingues sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Abel Pinheiro skillfully saved the ball. Américo Miranda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th minute, SC Engal's Miguel Leal dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. The SC Engal players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. SC Zambujal were winning 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Miguel Leal to strike the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as SC Zambujal's Carlos Rocha slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rui Reis. That made the score 2-3 after 57 minutes of play. Miguel Leal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Pinheiro having to interfere. Carlos Rocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Rui Reis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Pedro Trindade came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the SC Zambujal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Trindade couldn't finish the play. Pedro Trindade hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 74th minute, Miguel Leal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in SC Zambujal's zone, Miguel Leal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abel Pinheiro came out of the goal and Miguel Leal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Abel Pinheiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Leal in the 78th minute of play. If Carlos Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SC Zambujal's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
