Carlos Ribeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Vieira in the 27th minute of the match. Jorge Almeida was extremely unlucky when he, in the 32nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. A collision led to Lara getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Rogério Andrade hit a great ball. The supporters of SC Alfarela booed when Lara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Almeida didn't get a good kick on the ball. If João Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Carlos Ribeiro was a little too slow when Paulo Vieira got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 50th minute. The score was now 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paulo Vieira to make the kick off. Carlos Ribeiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. SC Alfarela's Carlos Ribeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Vieira in the 89th minute of play. If João Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 94th minute Jorge Almeida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Ribeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 98th match minute, SC Alfarela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fábio Ramos to maneuver through the defense. If Jorge Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 101st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee ended the match the Lara players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
