If Alexandre Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ricardo Aguiar made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when António Ribeiro sent off a good shot on target. When Alexandre Baptista, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 7 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Ricardo Aguiar was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Ouzenda's Domingos Guarda got a free kick in the 8th minute. António Ribeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Ricardo Aguiar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 25 minutes into the game, Alexandre Freitas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ouzenda's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pasteleiro the free kick. Alexandre Freitas kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. António Ribeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Aguiar having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Álvaro Rocha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adelino Rocha was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tiago Amorim in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adelino Rocha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 35thth minute of the game Alexandre Baptista who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ouzenda's Ricardo Aguiar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lourenço Gaspar kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Ricardo Aguiar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandre Baptista in the 42nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Ouzenda's zone, Alexandre Baptista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Aguiar came out of the goal and Alexandre Baptista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alexandre Baptista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Aguiar having to interfere. In the 48th minute, Tiago Amorim got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Pasteleiro's goalkeeper Adelino Rocha, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ricardo Aguiar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from António Ribeiro in the 55th minute of the match. António Ribeiro struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Ricardo Aguiar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pasteleiro. In the 58th minute, Alexandre Baptista left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pasteleiro fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Tiago Amorim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. In the 73rd minute Tiago Amorim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adelino Rocha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 74 played minutes Pasteleiro got a freekick which was hit by Alexandre Cunha. Tiago Amorim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Xavier Barbosa, 80 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Ouzenda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tiago Amorim was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 92nd minute, Alexandre Baptista made a precise shot to the right of Ricardo Aguiar. Ouzenda's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Ouzenda's Tiago Amorim got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Álvaro Rocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Adelino Rocha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Pasteleiro fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ouzenda had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
