Salselas's Sandro Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Carneiro in the 8th minute of play. After 11 played minutes Salselas got a freekick which was hit by Luís Aguiar. Cristiano Pinto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Sandro Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amadeu Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sandro Cunha having to interfere. Cristiano Faro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jorge Amaro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Oliveira Sá kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amadeu Nascimento in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sandro Cunha saved Salselas from getting behind. After a rather tough play, SC Favaios's Oliveira Sá got a free kick in the 33rd minute. SC Favaios's Cristiano Pinto got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Amadeu Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th minute, Amadeu Nascimento left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Favaios fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Amadeu Nascimento to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee ignored SC Favaios's protests and gave Hélder Baptista a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to SC Favaios getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Hélder Baptista hit a great ball. Cristiano Faro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lourenço Queirós having to interfere. When the match had been going on for 75 minutes, SC Favaios's Paulo Carneiro got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Sandro Cunha. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristiano Faro in the 92nd minute of play forced SC Favaios's goalkeeper Lourenço Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Cândido Faria fell near the penalty area in the 99th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Salselas's protests and gave Cândido Faria a yellow card for diving instead. After 99 played minutes Salselas got a freekick which was hit by Cândido Faria. Cristiano Pinto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 100th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sandro Cunha having to interfere. The SC Favaios players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
