Afonso Queirós showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augusto Paredes in the 9th minute of the match. Mala's Afonso Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre Aguiar in the 16th minute of play. In the 17th minute Alexandre Aguiar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Mala booed when SC Montezinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Paredes didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Alexandre Aguiar came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the SC Montezinho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alexandre Aguiar couldn't finish the play. Diamantino Leite took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lourenço Pedroso. Lourenço Pedroso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 33 minutes into the game, SC Montezinho's Alexandre Aguiar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Afonso Queirós made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Augusto Paredes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso Queirós having to interfere. The supporters of SC Montezinho booed when Mala was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vítor Barbosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Augusto Paredes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Afonso Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SC Montezinho's Augusto Paredes got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Diamantino Leite fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lourenço Pedroso having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Júlio Almeida to make the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Mala's goalkeeper Afonso Queirós had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alexandre Aguiar. In the 58th minute Júlio Almeida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lourenço Pedroso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lourenço Pedroso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Júlio Almeida, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Augusto Paredes struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Afonso Queirós didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Montezinho. Tomás Fernandes charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomás Fernandes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 75thth minute of the game Júlio Almeida who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Montezinho's Lourenço Pedroso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Diamantino Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 83 minutes, Vítor Barbosa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mala and the SC Montezinho players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jacinto Ribeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. 92 minutes into the match, Mala's goalkeeper Afonso Queirós had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alexandre Aguiar. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
