An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Assunção in the 4th minute of play forced Besteiro's goalkeeper Manuel Simões to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Besteiro's André Pinho got a free kick in the 4th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexandre Moura got free with Manuel Simões in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 31st minute, Vicente Sousa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Besteiro's Manuel Simões proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Besteiro from getting a goal against them. In the 34th minute, Alexandre Moura got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 40 minutes into the game, Manuel Faria cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Viriato Freitas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Manuel Faria to make the kick off. Besteiro's supporters rose to their feet, but Vicente Sousa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Viriato Freitas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Calcada's Joaquim Setúbal got a free kick in the 53rd minute. A collision led to Calcada getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Lourenço Fernandes hit a great ball. Diogo Gomes was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 55th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 57th minute, Manuel Faria reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Viriato Freitas. The goal made the score 0-2. Manuel Faria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Viriato Freitas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 64th minute, António Pinto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Faria in the 65th minute of play forced Calcada's goalkeeper Viriato Freitas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Vicente Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Besteiro's zone, Alexandre Moura stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manuel Simões came out of the goal and Alexandre Moura tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 75 minutes into the match, Calcada's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Faria came free, but Viriato Freitas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manuel Faria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Viriato Freitas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Viriato Freitas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vicente Sousa went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. After 91 played minutes Besteiro got a freekick which was hit by Cristiano Dantas. Besteiro's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
