Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) SC Marmelal's Afonso Brás started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pedro Nunes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Raul Borba in the 3rd minute. 5 minutes into the match, SC Rancosinho's goalkeeper Pedro Nunes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Raul Borba. In the 6th minute, SC Marmelal's Afonso Brás dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 9th minute, SC Rancosinho's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Raul Borba fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Manuel Baptista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Leal, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. When Nuno Pacheco fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Rancosinho's protests and gave Nuno Pacheco a yellow card for diving instead. SC Marmelal's Rodrigo Lisboa couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 16th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for SC Rancosinho. Raul Borba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Pedro Nunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in SC Rancosinho's zone, Raul Borba stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Nunes came out of the goal and Raul Borba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Manuel Baptista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Leal in the 26th minute of play. After a rather tough play, SC Marmelal's Daniel Oliveira got a free kick in the 26th minute. SC Marmelal's Manuel Baptista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duarte Costa in the 33rd minute of play. Daniel Leal took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Manuel Baptista. Manuel Baptista dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Duarte Costa in the 43rd minute of play forced SC Marmelal's goalkeeper Manuel Baptista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 44 minutes into the game, Daniel Oliveira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Marmelal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Rancosinho the free kick. In the 44th minute, Daniel Oliveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lúcio Morais charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lúcio Morais the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of SC Marmelal booed when SC Rancosinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lúcio Morais didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Duarte Costa made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Afonso Brás in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Nunes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rodrigo Lisboa placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! In the 58thth minute of the game Afonso Brás who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Rancosinho's Pedro Nunes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Inácio Oliveira charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Inácio Oliveira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 63rd minute, Inácio Oliveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in SC Rancosinho's zone, Afonso Brás stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Nunes came out of the goal and Afonso Brás tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Paulo Leiria kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in SC Rancosinho's zone, Raul Borba stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Nunes came out of the goal and Raul Borba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 70th minute, Duarte Costa fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Afonso Brás sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 79th match minute, SC Rancosinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Álvaro Brás to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, SC Marmelal's Albertino Henriques got a free kick in the 81st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Duarte Costa in the 85th minute of play forced SC Marmelal's goalkeeper Manuel Baptista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Afonso Brás had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SC Rancosinho's Pedro Nunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso Brás in the 95th minute of play. The SC Rancosinho players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented SC Marmelal from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
