Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Amadeu Martins took the kick off in the first half of the match. If Gil Setúbal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jorge Pinto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Amaral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jorge Pinto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Manuel Amaral went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 11 minutes into the match, SC Mar's goal looked a bit too open when Gil Setúbal came free, but Jorge Pinto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Júlio Carneiro during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Diogo Ramos charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Diogo Ramos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 20th minute, Diogo Ramos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Moreira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 20th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jorge Pinto. SC Mar's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Vítor Gomes made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Lúcio Henriques sent off a good shot on target. Vítor Gomes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amadeu Martins in the 23rd minute of play. Lúcio Henriques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vítor Gomes having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in SC Taveira's zone, Amadeu Martins stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vítor Gomes came out of the goal and Amadeu Martins tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lúcio Henriques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 29 minutes into the game, João Sá was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Taveira's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Mar the free kick. After some careless play in the SC Mar defense, Gil Mendes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jorge Pinto. The SC Mar fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jorge Pinto should have stopped the shot. Gil Mendes kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. SC Mar's Jorge Pinto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Amaral in the 45th minute of play. After the first half SC Taveira were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gil Setúbal to strike the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes SC Taveira got a freekick which was hit by Bento Amaral. 55 minutes into the game, Gil Mendes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Taveira's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Mar the free kick. Gil Mendes hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Jorge Pinto made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Manuel Amaral sent off a good shot on target. In the 66th minute Gil Setúbal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Pinto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Júlio Carneiro hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. If Gil Setúbal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Gil Mendes was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 78 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, SC Taveira's Gil Mendes got a free kick in the 79th minute. 80 minutes into the match, SC Mar's Lucas Martins broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Gil Setúbal charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gil Setúbal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 81st match minute, SC Taveira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gil Setúbal to maneuver through the defense. If Amadeu Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Manuel Amaral came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the SC Taveira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manuel Amaral couldn't finish the play. SC Mar's Jorge Pinto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save SC Mar from getting a goal against them. The SC Taveira players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
