Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Palacios's Simão Moura started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Gustavo Lopes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Oliveira Campos was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. In the 9th play minute Xavier Amaro came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Oliveira Campos. 1-0. 13 minutes into the match, Palacios's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Lopes came free, but Oliveira Campos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Palacios's Abel Sá got a free kick in the 14th minute. When Simão Moura came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Palacios fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Simão Moura couldn't finish the play. Emílio Nunes took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sérgio Soares. Sérgio Soares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Gustavo Lopes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oliveira Campos having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armando Ramos in the 34th minute of play forced Arialva's goalkeeper Sérgio Soares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oliveira Campos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustavo Lopes in the 42nd minute of play. In the 43rd match minute, Arialva was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Viana to maneuver through the defense. Viriato Nunes was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 45th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When Bernardo Machado fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Arialva's protests and gave Bernardo Machado a yellow card for diving instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gustavo Lopes made a kick off. After 53 played minutes Palacios got a freekick which was hit by Diamantino Alves. After 56 minutes, Henrique Brás mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palacios and the Arialva players grew even worse after the yellow card. Palacios's Oliveira Campos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xavier Amaro in the 58th minute of play. In the 60th minute, Xavier Amaro made a precise shot to the right of Oliveira Campos. Palacios's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Arialva's Gustavo Lopes got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Oliveira Campos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustavo Lopes, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. After 73 minutes of play Palacios's Henrique Brás was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Arialva booed when Palacios was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henrique Brás didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amadeu Figueiredo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 75th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Oliveira Campos. Palacios's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Xavier Amaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oliveira Campos having to interfere. 83 minutes into the match, Xavier Amaro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Oliveira Campos. Palacios's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Xavier Amaro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Diamantino Alves was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 87 minutes into the match. The referee gave Arialva a penalty, 89 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Amadeu Figueiredo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Palacios's Oliveira Campos. 4-1. Gustavo Lopes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Oliveira Campos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Arialva fans cheered their team off the field, for while Palacios had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
