Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Gioes FC's Lucas Luz started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Gioes FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Carlos Ferreira hit a great ball. Cláudio Barbosa hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. In the 13th minute, Carlos Araújo sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Gioes FC's Júlio Mota didn't even have to move. Júlio Mota made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Manuel Matos sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Gioes FC booed when SC Cintados was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amílcar Moniz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Filipe Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Manuel Matos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 26 minutes into the game, Gabriel Machado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gioes FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Cintados the free kick. The supporters of SC Cintados booed when Gioes FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Machado didn't get a good kick on the ball. SC Cintados's Hélder Andrade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Ferreira in the 28th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlos Ferreira in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hélder Andrade prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Manuel Matos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Júlio Mota made an important save on a dangerous shot by Amílcar Moniz in the 38th minute. After a defensive mix-up in SC Cintados's zone, Lucas Luz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hélder Andrade came out of the goal and Lucas Luz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Manuel Matos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lucas Luz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Hélder Andrade tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lucas Luz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 60th play minute Carlos Ferreira came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Hélder Andrade. 0-1. In the 65th minute Manuel Matos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júlio Mota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Gabriel Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Ferreira struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Hélder Andrade didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gioes FC. The supporters of Gioes FC booed when SC Cintados was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amílcar Moniz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manuel Matos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Mota having to interfere. In the 87th minute, Manuel Matos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Júlio Mota was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After having played for 91 minutes, Manuel Matos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Cintados's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manuel Matos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Manuel Matos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Júlio Mota tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Júlio Mota showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Matos, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Manuel Matos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Júlio Mota tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
