Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Pipa FC's David Cruz started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Filipe Silva struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Armindo Gaspar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Soutolinho FC. After 9 played minutes Pipa FC got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Moura. Soutolinho FC's Basílio Pacheco got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 12 played minutes Pipa FC got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Moura. Basílio Pacheco charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Basílio Pacheco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Soutolinho FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Basílio Pacheco hit a great ball. A collision led to Pipa FC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. David Cruz hit a great ball. After 20 played minutes Pipa FC got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Costa. After a defensive mix-up in Pipa FC's zone, Basílio Pacheco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Armindo Gaspar came out of the goal and Basílio Pacheco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Basílio Pachecos short, quick shot in the 24thth minute got Armindo Gaspar to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After having played for 26 minutes, Daniel Vale managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pipa FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Vale was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Soutolinho FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Vítor Pedroso hit a great ball. In the 29th minute, Filipe Silva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 32 minutes into the match, Soutolinho FC's Basílio Pacheco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Armindo Gaspar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cândido Matias kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Basílio Pacheco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Filipe Silva took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Armindo Gaspar to make any attempt to save it. After 45 played minutes, Pipa FC's Amílcar Anjos shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Manuel Azevedo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pipa FC reached it. David Cruz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Vale got free with Manuel Azevedo in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Manuel Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Cruz in the 64th minute of the match. Daniel Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Filipe Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Armindo Gaspar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Soutolinho FC's zone, David Cruz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manuel Azevedo came out of the goal and David Cruz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Manuel Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Cruz in the 73rd minute of the match. Soutolinho FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 80th minute, when Daniel Vale scored to the left of an out of position Manuel Azevedo, making the score, 1-1. If David Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Basílio Pacheco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armindo Gaspar having to interfere. The supporters of Soutolinho FC booed when Pipa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eusébio Cardoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 98th minute of the match Soutolinho FC got a corner. Pipa FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jaime Barros ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Soutolinho FC's corner Jaime Barros fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Armindo Gaspar quite easily take care of the ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
