Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Mário Brás started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Zagalho FC's Simão Luz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albertino Maia in the 6th minute of play. Miguel Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Emílio Resende tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mário Brás in the 11th minute of play forced Chicharo's goalkeeper Emílio Resende to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 16 played minutes Chicharo got a freekick which was hit by Rogério Gomes. In the 20th minute, Zagalho FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Rogério Gomes fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 24 minutes into the match, Chicharo's Bento Simões sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Simão Luz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Zagalho FC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. José Brás hit a great ball. After 27 minutes, Américo Viegas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chicharo and the Zagalho FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Américo Viegas kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. In the 36th match minute, Zagalho FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaime Gomes to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Albertino Maia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Simão Luz was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Zagalho FC's Delfim Miranda got a free kick in the 46th minute. Chicharo's Jorge Pinho got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Albertino Maia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Bento Simões had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Zagalho FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. José Antunes hit a great ball. In the 62nd minute, Albertino Maia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chicharo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Bento Simões struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Simão Luz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chicharo. Chicharo's Albertino Maia got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 70th minute, Bento Simões got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 86th minute Rogério Gomes suffered a knee injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jaime Gomes during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jaime Gomes kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Mário Brás sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Miguel Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Emílio Resende tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chicharo were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Zagalho FC for a fine match.
