Bento Aleixo charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bento Aleixo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bento Aleixo kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Albardeira's Paulo Cardoso tried to score from far away in the 29th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 31st minute Cristiano Resende shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nuno Delgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Joaquim Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristiano Resende sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristiano Resende's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nuno Delgado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Joaquim Machado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Albardeira were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joaquim Monteiro was the one to do the kick off. After 52 played minutes Capelo FC got a freekick which was hit by Tomás Campos. Cristiano Resende fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Delgado having to interfere. Capelo FC's Bento Aleixo got his second yellow card of the match in the 55th minute. The referee ordered Bento Aleixo off the ground. After a rather tough play, Capelo FC's Bento Aleixo got a free kick in the 55th minute. Capelo FC's Nuno Delgado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Capelo FC from getting a goal against them. In the 63rd minute of the match Paulo Cardoso sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nuno Delgado skillfully saved the ball. Cristiano Resende sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amadeu Lima recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Joaquim Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 74 minutes, Cristiano Resende managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Albardeira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristiano Resende was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joaquim Machado got free with Nuno Delgado in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Capelo FC's Amadeu Lima got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joaquim Machado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Delgado having to interfere. Nuno Delgado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristiano Resende in the 95th minute of the match. The Albardeira supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Albardeira would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
