Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Bruno Simões took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Gestoso's goalkeeper Cândido Nunes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cândido Nunes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Armindo Monteiro in the 8th minute. In the 9th match minute, SC Joane was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Simões to maneuver through the defense. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Joane's goalkeeper Afonso Baptista, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 14 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Gestoso's Basílio Luz fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. After 18 played minutes, SC Joane's José Amaro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cândido Nunes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SC Joane reached it. If Bruno Simões had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SC Joane's Armindo Monteiro got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of SC Joane booed when Gestoso was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gonçalo Cunha didn't get a good kick on the ball. 25 minutes into the game, Artur Morais was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gestoso's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Joane the free kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lucas Freitas during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Bruno Simões came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the SC Joane fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bruno Simões couldn't finish the play. In the 39th minute, José Amaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Basílio Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Basílio Luz made a kick off. Bruno Simões received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Cândido Nunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Armindo Monteiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cândido Nunes having to interfere. Bruno Simões sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 64thth minute of the game Bruno Simões who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gestoso's Cândido Nunes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Paulo Henriques kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. SC Joane's Afonso Baptista proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save SC Joane from getting a goal against them. Bruno Simões fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cândido Nunes having to interfere. Lucas Freitas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Afonso Baptista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basílio Luz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paulo Henriques was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 88th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 95 minutes, Óscar Guerreiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gestoso and the SC Joane players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cândido Nunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armindo Monteiro in the 98th minute of the match. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
