Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Filipe Aleixo took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 4th minute, Cepos's Jaime Aleixo seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Jaime Aleixo the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Cepos protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Jaime Aleixo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 4 minutes into the game, one of Cepos:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filipe Aleixo in the 9th minute of play forced Cepos's goalkeeper Lucas Bessa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th minute, Vasco Maia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lucas Bessa was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. If Bruno Luz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cepos's Lucas Bessa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filipe Aleixo in the 25th minute of play. If Bento Dantas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bento Dantas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Cláudio Paiva made a huge save. Filipe Aleixo struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Lucas Bessa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Santiago. The supporters of SC Santiago booed when Cepos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruno Luz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marco Valente hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After 45 played minutes, Cepos's Eduardo Abreu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cláudio Paiva came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cepos reached it. After the first half SC Santiago were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bento Dantas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Bento Dantas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cláudio Paiva was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Vasco Maia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Lucas Bessa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Cepos's Lucas Bessa got control of the ball when Vasco Maia tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 66th minute, Vasco Maia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lucas Bessa was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Lucas Bessa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filipe Aleixo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 86th minute, SC Santiago's Filipe Aleixo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Lucas Bessa. Lucas Bessa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. 93 minutes into the match, Cepos's goalkeeper Lucas Bessa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vasco Maia. After having played for 95 minutes, Bento Dantas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cepos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bento Dantas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The SC Santiago supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SC Santiago would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
