Paraiso FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Casevel the free kick. A collision led to Paraiso FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Alberto Pinheiro hit a great ball. Pedro Moniz's late challenge caught a Paraiso FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedro Moniz helped the player get up and apologised. After some careless play in the Casevel defense, Gabriel Coelho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jorge Esteves. The Casevel fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jorge Esteves should have stopped the shot. Jorge Esteves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sérgio Martins, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 21st minute, Álvaro Simões left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Casevel fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After having played for 23 minutes, Álvaro Simões managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Casevel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Álvaro Simões was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 27 played minutes Paraiso FC got a freekick which was hit by Hélder Silva. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bruno Valente during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Casevel's Joaquim Veiga shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 29th minute of play. The shot was stopped by José Leite but with some difficulty. The goalkeeper, José Leite, was totally fooled by Casevel's Joaquim Veiga, who 47 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Júlio Simões was the one to do the kick off. Sérgio Martins showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2.
