In the 10th match minute, SC Meires was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simão Tavares to maneuver through the defense. Aipo FC's Paulo Ramos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Queirós in the 17th minute of play. Adelino Carneiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Paulo Ramos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Aipo FC's goalkeeper Paulo Ramos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Meires's goalkeeper David Vale, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pedro Matos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Vale having to interfere. In the 36th minute, SC Meires's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Pedro Matos fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. David Vale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Maia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedro Matos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without David Vale having to make a save. Adelino Carneiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. João Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Paulo Ramos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Maia in the 64th minute of play forced SC Meires's goalkeeper David Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Duarte Antunes during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Duarte Antunes kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. After 67 played minutes SC Meires got a freekick which was hit by Domingos Gueifão. When Pedro Matos came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Aipo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Matos couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Pedro Matos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but David Vale was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. If David Maia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Maia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. David Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Matos, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Aipo FC's zone, Domingos Gueifão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo Ramos came out of the goal and Domingos Gueifão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When SC Meires's Domingos Gueifão in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Aipo FC's goalie prevented a goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
