In the 26th match minute, Cearas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by António Matias to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sebastião Henriques in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tiago Morais saved Cearas FC from getting behind. After 34 played minutes Cachopos got a freekick which was hit by Raul Gomes. A collision led to Cearas FC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Sebastião Barbosa hit a great ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

If Álvaro Santarém had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 59 minutes, Álvaro Santarém managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
