In the 14th minute, Emílio Almeida hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Augusto Cabral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of SC Balsemao booed when Baldosa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Mota didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jorge Coelho scored 0-1 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Adelino Leão, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Augusto Cabral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adelino Leão having to interfere. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Baldosa FC's Lucas Bessa in the 30th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Luís Silva was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for SC Balsemao through an amazing save. 37 minutes into the match, SC Balsemao's goalkeeper Luís Silva had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Filipe Campos. After a rather tough play, SC Balsemao's Armando Mendes got a free kick in the 38th minute. Gaspar Pinheiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 43 minutes, Filipe Campos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Baldosa FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filipe Campos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Augusto Cabral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Bessa in the 53rd minute of play forced SC Balsemao's goalkeeper Luís Silva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Viriato Nogueira kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Augusto Cabral in the 58thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Adelino Leão, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. SC Balsemao's Luís Silva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Bessa in the 61st minute of play. Artur Moniz's shot from long distance in the 65th minute was not bad at all, but Baldosa FC's Adelino Leão knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. Augusto Cabral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 68 minutes, Jorge Coelho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Balsemao's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorge Coelho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Miguel Guarda hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. In the 76th minute Lucas Bessa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Silva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jorge Coelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Baldosa FC's Filipe Campos in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. SC Balsemao's supporters crossed their fingers, but Augusto Cabral was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 0-2 became the score in the 86th minute when Jorge Coelho elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Lucas Bessa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Filipe Campos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 95 minutes into the game, SC Balsemao's Augusto Cabral nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Adelino Leão made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. The SC Balsemao supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SC Balsemao would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
