Manuel Aleixo helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, SC Vales's Manuel Aleixo got a free kick in the 8th minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in SC Vales fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 9th minute. Penalty! SC Vales:s Armando Guerreiro showed great skill when he stopped Artur Trindade:s penalty. 17 minutes into the match, Rosmaninho's Jorge Machado sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Armando Guerreiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Paulo Bessa took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 27th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Pedro Esteves. Rosmaninho's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to Rosmaninho getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Cláudio Ribeiro hit a great ball. In the 29th minute, Fernando Trindade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jacinto Lopes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Armando Guerreiro made a huge save. After having played for 35 minutes, Fernando Trindade managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Vales's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernando Trindade was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fernando Trindade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Pedro Esteves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulo Veiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Rafael Marques fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rosmaninho's protests and gave Rafael Marques a yellow card for diving instead. In the 45th minute, Rafael Marques hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedro Esteves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Trindade in the 46th minute of the match. After the first half SC Vales were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jorge Machado made a kick off. Armando Guerreiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacinto Lopes in the 54th minute of the match. In the 58th minute Manuel Aleixo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Esteves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cláudio Ribeiro in the 59th minute of play forced SC Vales's goalkeeper Armando Guerreiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Paulo Veiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
