Faioes FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Choqueira FC the free kick. Filipe Ribeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. In the 8th minute, Joaquim Matos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Choqueira FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Bento Gonçalves was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Filipe Ribeiro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 15 minute of play. After having played for 20 minutes, Filipe Ribeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Faioes FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filipe Ribeiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 28 minutes into the match, Choqueira FC's Lourenço Moniz broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Fábio Rodrigues made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquim Matos in the 29th minute of play. 31 minutes into the game, Carlos Mota was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Choqueira FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Faioes FC the free kick. In the 31st match minute, Choqueira FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Mota to maneuver through the defense. Bento Gonçalves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filipe Ribeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th minute André Ribeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fábio Rodrigues saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joaquim Matos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Faioes FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Choqueira FC were winning 1-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and André Ribeiro made a kick off. If Catarino Mota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. Bento Gonçalves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Setúbal in the 65th minute of the match. After 68 played minutes Faioes FC got a freekick which was hit by Filipe Ribeiro. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Inácio Reis during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 75th minute, Inácio Reis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 76 minutes into the match, Faioes FC's goal looked a bit too open when André Ribeiro came free, but Fábio Rodrigues reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If André Ribeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Filipe Ribeiro was shown his second yellow card after 83 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Faioes FC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Filipe Ribeiro hit a great ball. In the 95th match minute, Faioes FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cláudio Amaro to maneuver through the defense. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Choqueira FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
