Cristiano Luz succeeded in the game's 3rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. If Cristiano Luz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Matos in the 10th minute of play forced Guardais FC's goalkeeper Mário Brito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 13 played minutes Aventeira got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Carneiro. Cristiano Luz charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cristiano Luz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Guardais FC booed when Aventeira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristiano Luz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aventeira's Abel Leal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Borba in the 24th minute of play. Luís Faro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mário Brito having to interfere. Mário Brito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Faro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Luís Faro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute, Luís Faro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mário Brito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristiano Luz in the 37th minute of the match. When Cristiano Luz came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Aventeira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristiano Luz couldn't finish the play. Abel Leal acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 44th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Filipe Machado. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cristiano Luz to make the kick off. Mário Brito was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Joaquim Leal. A collision led to Aventeira getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. João Matos hit a great ball. Mário Brito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristiano Luz in the 58th minute of the match. Luís Faro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65th minute, Luís Faro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mário Brito was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. João Matos charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed João Matos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 78th minute, João Matos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Augusto Brito hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Guardais FC were awarded a corner in the 87th minute after Aventeira's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Pedro Nunes took the corner. Guardais FC's Pedro Nunes was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Abel Leal in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Abel Leal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Borba in the 88th minute of the match. In the 89th minute, Luís Faro made a precise shot to the right of Mário Brito. Guardais FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Luís Faro struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Mário Brito didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aventeira. When the final whistle sounded Aventeira left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Guardais FC.
