After having played for 4 minutes, Gustavo Valente managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Bagunte's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustavo Valente was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Queiriga FC defense, Fernando Paiva kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Miguel Porto. The Queiriga FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Miguel Porto should have stopped the shot. After 9 played minutes Queiriga FC got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Miranda. Fernando Paiva scored 0-2 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Miguel Porto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Fernando Paiva came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the SC Bagunte fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernando Paiva couldn't finish the play. Gustavo Valente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SC Bagunte's Gustavo Valente got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Fernando Paiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexandre Simões received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Duarte Moreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 34 played minutes Queiriga FC got a freekick which was hit by Nuno Cardoso. Duarte Moreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandre Simões, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Duarte Moreira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Álvaro Marques in the 40th minute. Joel Magalhães kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. 45 minutes into the match, Gustavo Valente had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Miguel Porto. Queiriga FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gustavo Valente was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After the first half SC Bagunte were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

With a little luck, Queiriga FC's Miguel Porto got control of the ball when Fernando Paiva tried to sneak it across the goal line. 58 minutes into the match, Fernando Paiva notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Queiriga FC's Miguel Porto. Miguel Porto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Álvaro Marques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67th minute, Alexandre Simões ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Duarte Moreira was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. If Álvaro Marques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of SC Bagunte booed when Queiriga FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Miranda didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 75 minutes, Gustavo Valente managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
