Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Emílio Pinheiro took the kick off in the first half of the match. Carlos Domingues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Fábio Matias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Júlio Brás fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso Almeida having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Júlio Brás in the 19th minute of play forced Arega FC's goalkeeper Afonso Almeida to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Emílio Pinheiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Afonso Almeida. Arega FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emílio Pinheiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Francisco Monteiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Fábio Matias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Júlio Brás managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vagos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Júlio Brás was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Afonso Almeida breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Júlio Brás in the 31st minute of play forced Arega FC's goalkeeper Afonso Almeida to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Arega FC's zone, Júlio Brás stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Afonso Almeida came out of the goal and Júlio Brás tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carlos Domingues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Francisco Monteiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fábio Matias read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Arega FC's Carlos Domingues sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fábio Matias narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 42nd minute, Arega FC's Francisco Monteiro dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Francisco Monteiro to make the kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Emílio Pinheiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vagos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emílio Pinheiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emílio Pinheiro in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Afonso Almeida saved Arega FC from getting behind. Carlos Domingues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Arega FC's zone, Júlio Brás stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Afonso Almeida came out of the goal and Júlio Brás tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Afonso Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emílio Pinheiro in the 63rd minute of play. Francisco Monteiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Fábio Matias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Vagos FC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Nuno Ferreira hit a great ball. If Carlos Domingues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lúcio Carvalho hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Jorge Barros's late challenge caught a Vagos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jorge Barros helped the player get up and apologised. Amílcar Monteiro walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. After 92 played minutes Vagos FC got a freekick which was hit by Emílio Pinheiro. Francisco Monteiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Vagos FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
