Teixeiro FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ricardo Queirós was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rui Carneiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 19th minute, Rui Nogueira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ricardo Queirós's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rui Carneiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. In the 24th match minute, Teixeiro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augusto Queirós to maneuver through the defense. Sérgio Faro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cândido Azevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Queirós in the 38th minute of play forced SC Tebosa's goalkeeper Rui Carneiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rui Carneiro made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Rui Nogueira sent off a good shot on target. In the 45th minute, Tiago Leiria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cândido Azevedo made a kick off. The supporters of SC Tebosa booed when Teixeiro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Cândido Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rui Nogueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 65 minutes into the match, SC Tebosa's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Queirós came free, but Rui Carneiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Rui Nogueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rafael Torres in the 71stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Sérgio Faro, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a rather tough play, Teixeiro FC's Joaquim Setúbal got a free kick in the 72nd minute. In the 74th minute, Cândido Azevedo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sérgio Faro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rafael Torres got free with Sérgio Faro in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
