Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) 10 minutes into the game, one of SC Batalha:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Fernando Pires walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Raul Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bento Pires in the 13th minute of play. If Alberto Pedroso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in SC Moncorvo's zone, Lúcio Nunes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Afonso Silva came out of the goal and Lúcio Nunes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Afonso Silva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lúcio Nunes in the 22nd minute of play. If David Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vítor Gaspar kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Raul Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bento Pires in the 45th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lúcio Nunes to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, SC Batalha's Armando Teixeira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Afonso Silva made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Raul Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Pedroso in the 56th minute of the match. In the 57th minute of the match SC Moncorvo got a corner. SC Batalha's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fernando Pires ran over to the corner to take the kick. Alberto Pedroso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Afonso Silva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armando Teixeira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Armando Teixeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 1-2 became the score in the 82nd minute when Bento Pires elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Afonso Silva didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vítor Gaspar went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Lúcio Nunes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Afonso Silva was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by David Abreu during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
