When Rui Borba fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Tentugal's protests and gave Rui Borba a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to SC Tentugal getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Rui Borba hit a great ball. Jaime Pereira had great luck who in the 12thth minute grab hold of the ball when Alberto Pedroso from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. After a rather tough play, SC Moncorvo's Rogério Dias got a free kick in the 14th minute. Alberto Pedroso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 25th minute Paulo Lopes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Silva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Fontes's late challenge caught a SC Tentugal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Daniel Fontes helped the player get up and apologised. Paulo Lopes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 30th match minute, SC Tentugal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Bessa to maneuver through the defense. When Afonso Teixeira fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Alberto Pedroso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jaime Pereira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Rui Borba got his second yellow card in the match during the 55th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 56 played minutes SC Tentugal got a freekick which was hit by Rui Borba. If Alberto Pedroso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st minute Alberto Pedroso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaime Pereira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
